Current Drug Trends: An Awareness for Educators (Virtual-DESE-2022)

Substance misuse among teens and young adults is not new, however the drugs in use; terminology; and warning signs change as new threats emerge. From heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamines to opioids, fentanyl, and cannabis the dangers are real and they are affecting our schools and communities.  In this session, Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jarad O. Harper of the Drug Enforcement Administration Little Rock District Office will share information on current drug trends in Arkansas including what educators and parents need to know to protect our students.
