This class will focus on the components of an effective digital lesson. Participants will take a face-to-face lesson and transition it to a digital lesson, or start a digital lesson from scratch, applying evidence-based approaches for effective digital lesson design. Participants will evaluate the process of building an effective digital lesson and their own digital lesson product using a rubric for digital lesson design. Topics include Universal Design for Learning, Backwards Design, Alignment, Accessibility, and Instructional Materials & Digital Tools. By plugging in to this pre-conference class, teachers will find the support they need to recharge their lesson plans and their learners' engagement with the intentionally designed learning experience that they planned.
