2022-DESE-Social Emotional Learning: Filling Your Bucket from a Digital Perspective

This is a two part session that breaks apart the G.U.I.D.E. for life into each part of the G(Growth), U(Understanding), I(Interaction), D(Decisions), and E(Empathy) and focuses on applying with fidelity the online, course-embedded elements of SEL and resources of the G.U.I.D.E. for Life to equip students for personal and academic success at home, school, college, career, and in the community today and in the future. Through this professional learning experience participants will learn how to supplement pre-packaged digital elements and programs of SEL and the resources of the Guide for Life and bring them full circle. Educators will be able to gain a toolbox of resources that address leveraging all forms of communication, incorporating Guide for Life Personal Competency Skills into their content, and with a learner-centric approach take systematic steps to interact, invest, and maximize every opportunity to support and build capacity in students. Learn how to take the SEL Guide for Life Personal Competency Skills that are at the center of the DESE Learning Services “Learning Lens'' and implement them with authenticity and fidelity.
