Technical Math builds on previous high school math courses to extend mathematical topics and relationships. The emphasis is placed on the application of mathematics in context and on modeling. Technical Math will help students develop math proficiency needed for future course work and in careers. This session will explore course content standards, build deeper understanding of modeling with mathematics and engage in task to build math proficiency. Activities and resources will be shared with participants including access to an online repository. This session is for participants who have not previously attended Technical Math training.
This will be an interactive virtual session requiring participants to utilize various online tools during the PD. The session will be conducted via Zoom and will require a webcam and microphone for active participation. An agenda including Zoom links and additional information will be emailed prior to the beginning of the session.
