The characteristics of gifted learners and their particular educational and affective needs will be presented as well as how to differentiate core content for gifted learners in this 3-hour professional development session along with the submission of a lesson plan. All teachers of mathematics, science, social studies or literacy formally serving identified gifted students enrolled in a secondary contact option, who have not been AP or Pre-AP trained in their content area, must attend this entire workshop for completion of the required training.
