2025-2026-SCSC-From Planning to Practice: Strengthening Social Studies Instruction



This session provides teachers, building administrators, and district leaders with guidance on strengthening Social Studies instruction by connecting instructional planning to effective classroom practice. Participants will examine characteristics of high-quality, research-informed resources and consider practical strategies for selecting and using materials that support inquiry, source analysis, and day-to-day Social Studies instruction.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium, the fee has been waived. If you are not part of the SCSC PD Consortium, you may be charged a minimum of $40 per day for any training even if the fee listed is zero.  Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any training.
