This session will explore the critical role of morphology in literacy development, highlighting how it supports encoding, decoding, vocabulary and comprehension. Participants will analyze the relationship between morphology and etymology in word structure and gain practical strategies for effective word study instruction. This session will equip educators with the knowledge and tools to teach morphological concepts in a way that enhances student learning and language proficiency. This training can be used as one of the stand-alone sessions for proficiency pathway D.
