This in-person 4-hour workshop will focus on the historical impact of the Arkansas State Capitol and its monuments. This will include a tour of the Capitol, a walking tour of the Capitol grounds highlighting the Little Rock Nine Memorial, the Fallen Firefighters Memorial, the Medal of Honor Memorial, and the Bauxite Boulder. Teachers and school librarians will be provided with resources they can integrate into Arkansas history lessons and introduced to the educational opportunities provided by the Arkansas Secretary of States’ Office.
