The Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is pleased to offer The Writing Revolution (TWR): The Hochman Method as part of statewide professional learning for the 2026–2027 school year.
This virtual training supports high-quality writing instruction aligned to the Science of Reading and is available at no cost to participants.
Course Overview
Participants will engage in live, synchronous training via Zoom:
→ Grades K–2: 8 hours of professional learning
→ Grades 3–12: 12 hours of professional learning
Sessions include opportunities for interaction, guided practice, and application of evidence-based writing strategies across content areas.
Important Enrollment Information
→ Registration through ESC Works reserves a spot in a summer cohort; however, participants are not fully enrolled until the required DESE MOU/enrollment form is completed.
→ After registering in ESC Works, participants will receive a follow-up email with the required MOU/enrollment form
→ The MOU form must be completed to finalize enrollment and secure a seat in the selected cohort
Enrollment is first-come, first-served, and cohorts may fill quickly.
