SCSC-Root Issues of Student Behavior Problems/Answering the Cry for Help: Suicide Prevention for Schools and Communities



Why do students misbehave? What unmet need does the behavior cover up? This book helps educators discover the unmet needs of students with behavior problems and how to help the student meet the need in an appropriate manner. In the PM session we will learn how to acknowledge the cries for help regarding suicide in our schools and communities. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 2A,2B, & 2D.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants will pay the listed fee including Nurses and Paraprofessionals. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid.
