SCSC - Makerspaces Camp

We are looking for a few good innovators! Would you like to practice new skills and use your creativity while working with children? Join us for a unique learning and teaching opportunity. Makerspaces Camp will offer the opportunity for educators to develop lessons for South Central’s first annual summer event for children. The purpose of this camp is two-fold: it will provide professional development opportunities for teachers and it will offer enrichment opportunities for students. This professional development will provide a total of 43 hours and will involve planning lessons independently and collaboratively through zoom or face-to-face meetings. Priority to register for this event will be given to those teachers that have been involved in Instructional Technology Coaches or Coding to Learn training and Library Media Specialists. Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid.
