Specific lesson plans with clear objectives that empower you to understand a variety of writing challenges in the K-1 classroom will be presented. Participants will practice identifying genres and purpose for writing as lessons are modeled. K-1 teachers will recognize critical elements of narrative, informational, and opinion writing in the K-1 classroom and come away with lessons to address each of these types of writing.
