SCSC - Citelighter Basics



Who wants to reduce your time scoring student writing and increase student accountability? Citelighter is an easy-to-use academic research tool that utilizes a community of students to help you find valuable content, automatically cite sources, and provide an organizational framework for writing your papers. This tool is an excellent supplement for classroom writing instruction. Come to this three hour course that provides an overview of Citelighter, allows participants to explore the teacher and student side of this program, and learn which lessons are best to introduce to students. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 1E, 3C, and 3D.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price of the session(s) not attended. No credit will be awarded until the fee is paid.
