SCSC - Text-based Coding Using Arduino for 7-12



In this two day workshop, participants will start to learn the basics of electronics and text-based computer science. Participants will learn how the high school computer science standards could be taught using an Arduino board. Project will include using LEDs to create a model of a “traffic light signal,” using DC and servo motors, etc. The focus will be on teaching the high school computer science level 1 and 2 courses. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 1E, 3C, and 4E.

If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox.
