SE Using Meaningful Mathematics to Engage (K-6) Students in Learning Content
Mathematics is a participation sport. However, most students are unaware of that, and they are passive when it comes to content contribution. This all day experience will examine methods and ideas to motivate and involve (K-6) students in rich mathematical content. This day is being offered through the math consortium with special guest, James Fetterly, mathematics professor at UCA. Dr. Fetterly brings energy to the topic as well as a working understanding of the K-12 mathematics classroom.
