AFESC--Essentials 3: Catch’em Being Good! Using Reinforcement to Increase Appropriate Behaviors

Reinforcement is one of the most fundamental instructional practices that can be used to help students acquire new skills or increase desired behaviors. This interactive 6 hour training will help learners gain a greater understanding of basic reinforcement procedures as well as further explore misconceptions related to punishment and bribery.

Reinforcement is one of four Essential Skills Trainings that are beneficial to attend prior to any of the Tier 2 trainings being provided throughout the school year. The Essentials will be required in 2018-19 for the development of school district teams that will receive in depth training and coaching toward building local capacity.
