The course teaches participants the warning signs of a variety of mental health challenges common among adolescents. Among those discussed will be anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, substance abuse disorders, and AD/HD. Participants do not learn how to diagnose or treat these disorders. Instead participants learn how to support youth developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness.
