NWAESC---9-12 Science Cadre (2095)
Part 2 in a series of professional development sessions over the course of the year will explore best practices and strategies to support conceptual understanding and sense-making for students. We will model and develop lessons using the Grasping Phenomenal Science pedagogy of conceptual understanding, directly supporting implementation of new science standards, disciplinary literacy, argumentative inquiry, and ACT Aspire. We will also support your needs in implementing Common Assessments and RTI. The morning half will be a time of learning through doing, and the afternoon will be a collaborative time for teachers to apply what they've learned.
