NWAESC---Novice Teacher Forum: K-2 Literacy
First year K-2 teachers are invited to join their peers for an afternoon of celebrating successes, sharing concerns/questions, and discussing challenges they are facing. In addition to networking with other novice teacers, this session will focus on learning more about the science of reading - the primary focus of the AR Department of Education's plan for the future and how this affects instruction in the K-2 classroom. Time will also be spent looking at the required dyslexia screeners for K-2 (their purposes and how to use the results).Come join certified LETRS and R.I.S.E. trainer, Kim Brown, to learn more about how to provide effective reading instruction to your primary students.
