SCSC - Grasping Phenomenal Science Follow-up PD Day 2 (K-12)

Grasping Phenomenal Science (GPS) professional development follow-up is for anyone who has been to any of the GPS Science professional development(s): Follow-up Day 1, GPS Summer 2017 or in the past. Irregardless of where you attended the GPS PD, you are welcome to join us. Participants will review 3 dimensional teaching and learning using phenomenon, review student work, and you may use a lesson screening tool to screen a favorite lesson. This tool will aide attendees in screening their existing lessons, new lessons, and/or other lessons that they find to make sure that they have the 3D and GRC (Gathering, Reasoning and Communicating) pieces included. Let’s “Do Science” together!

TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 1A, 1C, 1E, 4A, 4D, and 4E.

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. All professional development (PD) sessions require a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not met; the PD session will be canceled two weeks prior to the event. Registrants for the session will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
