Whether you are preparing to implement Strategic Reading or revising your current lessons for intervention, then this four-day workshop is for you. The Arkansas English Language Arts Standards for Strategic Reading will provide the basis of the workshop. Participants will analyze strands and content standards for engaging the reader, comprehension strategies, responding to text, and vocabulary development. Participants will learn and practice intervention strategies, develop formative assessments, and revise lesson plans and materials to create rigorous opportunities for students to achieve grade-level expectations. You may attend all four days or whichever days meet your individual needs. On-site follow-up support will be provided at request.
