SCSC-Computer Science in the K-8 Classroom



Are you interested in experiencing codable toys?  Do you want to learn about unplugged activities to help you meet computer science standards? This training is for team leaders, content leaders, or teachers interested in additional knowledge and application of ways to embed computer science within their current curriculum.  During this training, we will focus on grade level cross-curricular examples and activities with take-home resources.  *Laptop highly recommended. Note: Computer Science in the K-8 Classroom Days 1 & 2 do not count towards the 5 days needed for the K-8 Lead Teacher Training and Stipend Program.

TESS components addressed for this workshop include:  Domain 1 & 3.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price. Please Bring: Laptop or Chromebook
