SCSC-ICE, ICE Baby! National School Library Standards



To learn the true meaning of “ICE Baby”, plan to attend the introduction to the new 2017 American Association of School Librarians’ National School Library Standards for Learners, School Librarians and School Libraries.  This workshop, sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Education, will provide an overview of the three parts of the new AASL Standards Framework, and the three shared foundations.  Participants will be given the opportunity to evaluate their school library program in accordance with the new AASL Standards Integrated Framework and set goals for improvement.  Participants are asked to bring their laptop or other device.  You will need to complete the survey if you want to purchase a copy of the standards for the workshop.  Survey must be completed by May 16th to receive prior to training.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
