DSC Building Your Computer Science Teacher Toolbox

What’s in your teaching toolbox? Is it empty or just disorganized? You’ve learned the content but how do you teach?  Participants will engage in discussions of classroom logistics, teaching strategies, and building community resources.  You gave your first assignment, but how do you grade it?  Your desk is piling up with papers and your students are asking questions and you don’t know the answer.  Your world is quickly turning upside down. Through discussion and interactive activities participants will be introduced to ways to turn chaos into success.  Do you often feel like you are the only person on your island? We will share ways to build your own community of educators.  Join us for an exciting hour filled with activities and ideas to take back and construct your very own CS Teacher Toolbox.

*Laptop/Chromebook highly recommended.
