DSC Dyslexia: What Classroom Teachers Need to Know



This session is designed to give classroom teachers a better understanding of what dyslexia is, the characteristics of dyslexia that students can exhibit, rationale for screening, school based identification, and multi-sensory instruction practices for the classroom. We will discuss the connection between Dyslexia and RTI. We will review Arkansas’ law and resource guide with special emphasis on each classroom teacher's role in implementing those mandates.
