WDMESC: Researching to Deepen Understanding for Grades 6-12
The standards emphasizes students' engagement in both short and extended research in order to gain deeper understanding about the topics they are investigating. Students will synthesize information from a number of sources and present the information in a variety of formats. When appropriate, students are encouraged to use technology to present findings. This professional development will focus on the extended portion of research and will provide resources to assist classroom teachers.
