Workshop Description (include source of research): New school nurses will have an understanding of screening
procedures and will receive the certification training necessary to complete mandated vision screenings in Arkansas Public Schools.
Learner Outcomes:
• The learner will explain the importance of vision screenings
• The learner will identify the components of the vision screening procedure.
• The learner will demonstrate operation of the approved vision screening instruments.
Course Completion requires participant to: register on A-Train; complete a pre and post course assessment; and to attend the entire session. A-Train session ID # is: 1068828
Participants are required to log in to A-Train and complete the course evaluation within 2 weeks of completing the course or they will be withdrawn and will not receive CNE Contact Hours.
NOTE: You must pre-register in A-Train in order to get your CNEs. We are no longer able to register you the day of the training. Pre-Assessments MUST be completed prior to attendance in order to receive CNEs.
