DSC Mini Lessons for Literature Circles

An important part of managing literature circles is teaching students how to work independently. Kate has found the consistent routines and engaging mini lessons that work best in her classroom. Investing the time to teach students how to use independent work time, allows the teacher time to support literature circles, strategy groups and one on one conferences. Ideas on how to balance teacher led and student choice reading experiences will be discussed in this training. Join Kate as she shares exciting ideas and mini-lessons for literature circles in the 3-8 classroom.
