GFESC - THE KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL CO-TEACHING
This interactive session, provided by the Arkansas Co-Teaching Project team, provides an overview of the co-teaching arrangement of a general educator and special educator sharing a classroom and the responsibilities for teaching all students in the classroom. The presenters will demonstrate the six instructional formats and will explain how incorporating "specially designed instruction" will increase the effectiveness of a co-taught classroom. The session is appropriate for special educators, general educators, and administrators who are new to co-teaching or those who would like a refresher. We also encourage instructional facilitators and others who support these teachers to attend.
