This two-day literacy conference features some of the nation's best-known speakers in education, as well as young adult authors and poets. All participants will meet in a general session for a keynote address each morning and then divide into session groups based on grade bands. Speakers for the conference will be Jack Berckmeyer (Keynote Day 1), Alan Sitomer (Keynote Day 2), Dr. Timothy Shanahan (K-4 speaker Day 1), Laura Robb (5-8 speaker Day 1), Sarah Brown Wessling (9-12 speaker Day 1), Kathy Griffin, and Kimberly Towe (K-4 presenters Day 2). Guest authors will be Augusta Scattergood, Crystal Allen, and Kai Coggin, and Alan Sitomer (rotating and repeating sessions for 5-8 and 9-12 Day 2).
Teachers who register are asked to remain in the same grade band for both days, as space will be limited.
