GFESC - 180 DAYS - AN ONLINE BOOK STUDY

Kelly Gallagher and Penny Kittle are two of the leading authors in middle school and high school literacy.  They are in the classroom on a daily basis, working with students - all students, day in and day out.  That is what this story is about.  It chronicles the work these two teachers did as they collaborated with one another in each of their respective classrooms in vastly different settings with a highly diverse group of students.  This is a brand new book, but I love everything both of these authors have written, so I am expecting great things.  Join us for an exciting journey through the text while sharing ideas and experiences with your peers in an online setting from wherever you may roam this summer.  Work at your own pace, as you earn 18 hours of professional development credit.

Important Session Information:

NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.

Participants will need access to technology to complete assignments on Moodle.  Don't worry if you have not used Moodle: I will send instructions on what to do.  I promise that it is not difficult.

Participants will be required to purchase a copy of the text: 180 Days Two Teachers and the Quest to Engage and Empower Adolescents by Kelly Gallagher and Penny Kittle.  It is scheduled to be released on March 29th.
