GFESC - THE OUTDOOR CLASSROOM, MAGAZINE MOUNTAIN



During this one-day workshop to be held on Magazine Mountain State Park, we will utilize an interdisciplinary approach of using the outdoors as a classroom.  Planned activities include a short hike and tour of Magazine Mt., a presentation on Black Bear of Arkansas, and an overview of an interdisciplinary approach to teaching Arkansas studies as well as accompanying lesson plans.  Included will be lessons pertaining to physical education and the outdoor classroom.

 



Important Session Information:


NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.  Lunch will be on your own - bring a sack lunch.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:  Prepare for outdoors, bug spray, warm weather clothing, bring a sack lunch, sun block.

Participants need to meet on Magazine Mountain at the Greenfield Pavilion.
