GFESC - SCIENCE WITH A PURPOSE: BIOLOGY AND AGRICULTURE RESEARCH IN ARKANSAS



Join teachers from throughout the region for a visit to an actual science/agriculture research station.  Participants will assist in collecting animal and plant specimen which will be analyzed latter by participants in the fully-equipped lab facilities at the Bumpers Small Farm Research Center.  Anticipated research sites will involve sheep and goat parasites, beef cattle production, and agriculture waste water run-off and disposal.  Program will begin at 8:00am at the Dale Bumpers Small Farms Research Center, Hwy 23 South, Booneville, AR. 

Instructors will be Dr. Curtis Varnell, Dr. Jackie Cherry, and Dr. Dan Pote.



Important Session Information:


NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.  Lunch will be provided.

Participants are asked to dress for outdoor activities - comfortable shoes - and to bring bug spray.  This training will involve some walking.
