WDMESC: First Days of School: Preparing for Success Make-Up Day
Success in teaching, whether a novice or seasoned educator, relies very much on the planning that occurs BEFORE students ever cross the threshold into the classroom. Successful educators have a PLAN ready for that first day of school and for the days that follow. This session is designed to support the novice teacher in planning for those first days of school. Included in the topics will be classroom management procedures, planning for effective transitions, and the importance of positive communication with parents/guardians. It is hoped that the learning gleaned from this session will be put into practice as these new educators prepare to experience their first days of school.
