SCSC-Sonday System 1 Installation Training



Winsor Learning Sonday System® 1 Training is an introduction to Multisensory Teaching Methodology, a detailed look at the fundamentals of Orton-Gillingham-based instruction, and the implementation of Sonday System®1 Reading Intervention Program. This training offers hands-on use of the materials, and practical strategies to use with struggling students as well as multi-sensory teaching strategies for whole group instruction. This is a two-day session. Participants must attend the entire 12 hours in order to receive a certificate from Winsor Learning. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 3B, 3C, 3E

Important Session Information:


Participants will need to bring a Sonday System 1® materials kit and Learning Plan Book to the training. If participants do not possess a strong background and experience teaching the 5 Essential Reading Components - Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension, the prerequisite session, “Foundational Skills for Reading Interventionists” is required. The fee has been waived for licensed teachers that are members of the PD consortium.  Paraprofessionals of consortium districts will pay $100.00 and all non- consortium districts will pay $275 per participant.
