R.I.S.E. Academy is a year-long blended learning professional development. The training will provide educators with an in depth knowledge related to the science of reading, evidence-based instructional strategies, and making data-based decisions for ALL students. During day 6 participants will examine the components of reading comprehension, discuss effective methods for teaching reading comprehension in grades K-2, and describe the various reasons why students might not comprehend and examine steps that can be taken to correct problems.
