NEA - Paraprofessional Training - Literacy
Paraprofessional training is required for all Para’s. Everyone must attend the Foundations of Special Education, Behavior Training, Low Incidence, and Literacy Training sessions. The Special Health Care Training will be provided on your school campus with the school nurse facilitating. Preschool Paraprofessionals must attend the Early Childhood Training. Para’s working with 7th grade and up must attend the Secondary Training. The training sessions have been scheduled for the month of September and October. All training dates start at 8:30 a.m.
The cost of the training is $10 per day for materials plus $10 per workshop if you are not employed by a NEA Co-op member school. For invoicing information, please contact Mandy Durham, Early Childhood Coordinator. Otherwise, payment is expected on the day of the workshop.
