AFESC--Investigating Minds Want To Know: Basic Behavior Principles (Essentials 1)



In order to effectively manage classroom behavior and design appropriate interventions for problematic behavior, it is essential that teachers understand the basic behavior principles. This training is designed to review and clarify those principles so that behavioral intervention will be effectively result in positive changes.

This is the first of four Essentials Trainings offered by the K-12 Behavior Support Specialists. Essentials Trainings must be completed in sequence. After completion of ALL four Essentials Trainings, participants are eligible to attend more advanced trainings on Instructional and Behavior Strategies and Programming to address moderate problem behaviors. In order to facilitate participation in future BX3 project initiatives, it is recommended that districts form teams and attend the Essentials Trainings.
