This two day training is a good introduction for payroll novices, but it is even more beneficial if the attendee is somewhat familiar with the payroll process. We will be covering Human Resource Reference Tables (Additional Duty Codes, Calendars, Deduction Codes/Table, Job Class, Leave Codes, Pay Codes, Pay Groups, and Salary Schedules). Entering New Employee Information, Payroll Process, Entering Leave/Time Sheets, Payroll Reports, and Balancing Payroll with Spreadsheet. If there is time, we will also cover: Voiding Payroll Checks, Redistributing Payroll Charges, Payroll Reports - Monthly & Quarterly, and COGNOS Report/Contract Balance.
One day will be review and the next will be hands on activities; therefore, pre-registration is required.
