SCSC - Grasping Phenomenal Science: Unit Development (Pre-AP certification)



Are you ready to take the next step in your science instruction? Are you ready to move from planning lessons to developing units of study and formative assessments? This two-day work session will provide educators with the knowledge, tools, and resources to develop grade/course-specific science units. Follow-up support, including the development of formative assessment tasks, will be available throughout the school year. Individual teachers and grade-level teams are welcome.  Participation in this session meets the ADE requirement for Pre-Advanced Placement Science (Pre-AP) teacher certification or recertification for middle school, junior hight, or high school teachers. TESS components addressed for this workshop include:   1E, 3B, and 3E.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
