SCSC - Grasping Phenomenal Science: Science Investigations (Pre-AP certification)



How can engaging in Science and Engineering Practices contribute to student success? Participants will use strategies, tools, and resources to learn how to support students in planning and carrying out investigations. This practice supports student success as measured through the reporting category, “Scientific Investigation” of the Science ACT Aspire.  Participation in this session meets the ADE requirement for Pre-Advanced Placement Science (Pre-AP) teacher certification or recertification for middle school, junior high, or high school teachers. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 1E, 3B, and 4E.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
