GFESC - GRASPING PHENOMENAL SCIENCE: UNIT DEVELOPMENT - PRE-AP CERTIFICATION



Ready to take the next step in your science instruction?  Ready to move from lessons to units of study and formative assessment?  This two-day 6-hour work session will provide educators with the knowledge, tools, and resources to develop grade/course-specific science units.  Follow-up support will be available during the following school year.  Individual teachers as well as grade-level teams are welcome. 

Participation in this workshop meets the ADE requirement for Pre-Advanced Placement Science (Pre-AP) teacher certification or recertification for middle, junior, and senior high teachers.  

With sufficient enrollment, we will break out into groups and work on specific grade level units during day two.



Important Session Information:


NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.  Lunch will be provided.

When you register for this workshop, you are automatically enrolled in both days.

Materials Required:  State standards, materials to develop units.

This workshop will take place at the Janet Huckabee River Valley Nature Center, Barling, AR.
