SCSC - FUNdamentals of Early Number Sense for Grades K-2

Join us for a day of engaging activities centered around Early Number Sense. Participants will learn about the development of children’s mathematical thinking and attend to the details of children’s counting and problem-solving strategies in order to support and build from children’s intuitive understandings of mathematics. Participants will learn how to use children’s thinking to make decisions that will allow you to purposefully design or adapt instructional tasks and to intervene in the moment in ways that are responsive to the needs and understandings of each child.  TESS components addressed for this workshop include:  3C, 3D, and 3E.
