WDMESC: Improving Wellness in the School
This workshop will provide training to personnel involved in school or district level wellness committees in regards to the responsibilities of school wellness.The utilization of the School Health Index to assist in planning and developing of goals for the health and committees. Wellness improvement priority will be discussed. Other resources and presentations will be provided to assist schools with topics including opioid abuse, tobacco and e-cigarette use in teens, and programs that can be used to increase physical activity in the school.
