NWAESC(2246)---TALENTS: Tier Two Behavior Strategies for Novice Teachers

HELP is on the way in this introductory session that will address responses to basic behavior challenges.  We will share basic ideas, strategies and resources to address behavior using preplanned and positive feedback. These ideas have helped many new teachers keep their head ‘above water’ and can lead to a reduction of Tier I and Tier 2 behaviors. Hope to see you there.

How to define behavior for behavior change procedures

What is junk behavior?

What is basic reinforcement that allows me to teach and increase the likelihood that the behavior I want will continue or increase?

How to plan and implement a “level playing field” utilizing accommodations

What are some ideas to adjust antecedents to avoid or eliminate challenging behavior?

How am I going to survive these last weeks of the school year?
