WDMESC: THINK and WRITE Like a National Board Certified Teacher



Participants will become more aware of the contributions and value of National Board Certified Teachers and of the key elements of successful achievement. The participants will gain knowledge and skills to:

  • Skillfully write descriptively, analytically and reflectively as a National Board Candidate specifically related to research, reflection and revision over extended time frames.
  • Clearly address evidences related to the NBPTS 5 Core Propositions of what a teacher should know and be able to do
  • Outline the NBPTS newly revised component requirements as an effective educator and impacting student achievement
  • NBPTS 5 Core Propositions
  • NBPTS thinking and writing styles – descriptive, analytical, and reflective
  • NBPTS Assessment and Portfolio Components
