SCSC - Advanced Information Security - High School CS Professional Development



This is an abbreviated 2-day workshop on advanced Information Security. Participants will be introduced to security concepts as well as methods to help teach those subjects. Topics covered will include, but are not limited to, Basics of Exploits/Vulnerabilities (Network Attack), Cryptography Theory, Applied Cryptography, Laws, Regulations, Compliance, and Policy, Forensics, Network Defense, Ethics and Legal Considerations, and Physical Security.  

TESS components addressed for this workshop include:  4D, and 4E.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
