Designing powerful lessons is not as easy as it sounds! Engaging students with deep understandings is largely dependent on the unit design as a whole, based on understanding the standards on which the unit is built. This workshop will begin by learning how to make sense of the Arkansas State Mathematics Standards, and then develop unit structures on which powerful lessons are based. From there, we will look at how to use the unit structure to design powerful lessons that will engage students with deep understanding and skills at the required level of rigor.
*There is no fee for districts within the math consortium. A fee of $100.00 will be charged to your district if it is outside the consortium.
