This is a one-day required session for all Year 3 Novice teachers. The focus will be on understanding how career teachers continue to grow as professionals by reflecting/identifying an area for growth, creating a learning plan, and then implementing/refining classroom practice towards mastery. Jeff Flygare, Marzano Research associate, will introduce participants to The New Art and Science of Teaching Framework by Marzano to guide this work. Participants will also receive a copy of Becoming a Reflective Teacher by Dr. Tina Boogren for additional guidance. There are two separate dates to choose for participation in this one-day session. Each day is limited to 54 participants.
