The Behavior Essentials is a three session, eighteen hour professional development to help school staff understand and change behavior., Consecutive attendance in all three sessions of Behavior Essentials is required prior to attending any of the Targeted Intervention Trainings being offered throughout the school year. Additionally, the Essentials are required in 2019-20 for the development of future school district BX3 teams that will receive in depth training and coaching toward building local capacity.
Participants will define behavior in measurable and observable terms as a prerequisite for measuring behavior through data collection procedures. Participants will learn how to use the best data collection method to collect baseline data, determine function of behavior, design interventions and progress monitor.
